A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Synopsis
When Hermia is told she must marry Demitrius (and not Lysander whom she is in love with), the young lovers hatch a plan to run away together. Pursued by Demitrius and Helena (Hermia’s BFF who loves Demitrius) they become entangled in the most comic love triangle anyone has ever witnessed.
In the same wood, a group of travelling actors have come together to rehearse a play they intend to perform for the duke and duchess – unfortunately their rehearsal appears to issue more enthusiasm than merit, and the fairies that live in the wood decide to invoke some fairy mischief on these poor players.
The King and Queen of the fairies, Oberon & Titania, are engaged in a lovers tiff and Oberon uses these strangers to entertain himself and invoke revenge on his estranged wife with rather hilarious consequences!
